Balaam And The Angel are one of the finest Alternative Rock bands of the last 20 years and are back playing live again. Update - August15th 2008 London show Posponed Due to Des having an accident, the London gig for the 12th oct has been posponed, all tickets have been refunded. Some Sad News Jane Steele - BATA Info Service Seems to be one of those horrible weeks. For a long period of our career, a wonderful lady and many of you will remember her, looked after our free information service. This was the lovely Jane Steele. She managed the service and did everything free of charge to inform the general public of our activities. The internet was a fantasy product at that time and spent many hours preparing the campaigns. Unfortunately Jane passed away recently and very prematurely. Our thoughts go out to her family and friends at such a tragic time. Dave Askey - Dawn After Dark I was informed this weekend of the sad loss of a truly wonderful human being who is Dave Askey from our very good friends Dawn After Dark. Many of you may remember them from our Live Free Or Die tour. Our thoughts obviously go out to his family friends at such a tragic time. Lichfield Fantastic Night Last nights gig was a truly special occasion, a good long set from the band firing on all cylinders. I was not able to go to the King Tuts gig in Glasgow but Did make the other two. Our condolences goes out to all who new Martin. In the pre-band days we all new each other from hanging out at the old JB's in Dudley. At this time, the goup of us who would meet there on a regular basis, later became Balaam, the Stuffies, the Poppies, Mighty Lemon drops and the Wild Flowers. As always on these occassions this is a sad lost and again we offer our condolences. Old News So here we have it, a new year and the prospect of several Balaam shows this year making a fitting time since its 21 years since Balaam graced us with their first recordings. Over the next few weeks I will be adding much more content to this site as well as moving it off the geocities server onto a proper site. Update 27th August 2003 I have added some very rare live MP3 clips of Balaam from between 85 and 87 mostly tracks that were never recorded for any proper release they are all encoded as 64 kbs mp3 in mono to keep the file size / bandwidth small, go enjoy.
